This HR Nelnet store is for University of Utah students and visiting medical students to request and pay for any required criminal background checks and drug screens. Please select one of the products listed below and follow the instructions. If you have questions about which product to purchase, please contact your course instructor or the VSLO program office.

Youth Protection Background Check
A criminal background check is required to participate in some courses at the University of Utah, particularly those that involve minors.
In addition to a background check you will need to complete the Safety of Minors training. Please email your name and preferred email address to youthprotection@utah.edu for access to online training.

VSLO Background Check Only
Background checks are required to participate in the AAMC Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO) program with the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine.
